Miso Ramen JS — is a type of ramen in Japanese cuisine that uses miso as a key ingredient for the broth.
Miso ramen is considered a fairly new version of ramen compared to other types such as shoyu or tonkotsu. It comes from the northern island of Hokkaido, where the cold climate has contributed to the creation of a thicker and richer broth. Miso is a traditional Japanese paste made from fermented soybeans. Thanks to this, the broth gets a characteristic thick, sweet and salty taste and light color. Thicker noodles are often used for miso ramen, which goes well with the thick broth. Various ingredients are usually added to miso ramen, such as pork, corn, butter, bamboo shoots, nori seaweed, green onions, and other vegetables.
